Adam is back

He eats! There are two things that we know Adam won't eat and we don't know why, we think it might be the texture. He doesn't like potatoes (which is strange for here in Idaho) and ground beef. But he loves his grilled cheese sandwhiches.

We as a family like the show George Lopez. The theme song happens to be Low Rider, and we all love it. Whenever we watch and hear the intro/theme Adam just starts dancing away. Grandma Christine has the song for Grandpa's ringtone, and you may not be able to hear it, but this is what Adam looks like when he hears it.

I knew this day would come, I just didn't think that it would be this soon.

A few of our accomplishments

Alrighty, here are a few things that I've done lately. I know that this blog is mainly about Adam, but once in a while it's nice to show what Travis and I have done. This is what I've done. I love the bouquet, I had to make it for some floral classes and its made of different kinds of orchids, leucadendrom, palm, spray roses, and jade.

I also made this corsage of pinus, aster, mini calla lilies, and raffia.

I made this cake for class using royal icing and buttercream, it was a lot of fun, but very time consuming.

Something that Travis and I are going to do/have done...

We're graduating this July together with our Bachelor's degrees.

And oh, yeah, this little purchase...

Sorry it's so poor quality, we don't have any real pictures, so I had to take one of the picture on paper. But here's a Virtual Tour.

Photos I keep forgetting

I went skiing in February, and I'm kicking myself for not taking a better camera! It was an absolutely beautiful day at Grand Targhee Ski Resort. This is me and the picture below, is the valley. I can't say thanks enough to Roger and Lynda for inviting me to go with them skiing. P.S. Happy Birthday Lynda!

Gorgeous huh? Like I said, kicking myself.

This is a video from January, that I keep forgetting to post. Adam doesn't do this near as much as he used to, but every once in a while, he puts his hands behind his back and starts clucking. We call him our little chick. I'm making a decent amount of noise to encourage him, but he's doing it too. Pretty cute huh?

I love Fondant Cakes!

So for my cake decorating class, I had a to do a fondant decorated cake. Our options are limitless, but there are certain requirements to accomplish for the teacher. I had so much fun! This was the first time my teacher had seen anyone do a Mickey Mouse design. I had so much fun with this, I think that I'll end up doing it for Adam's first birthday, but we'll have to see how long that takes me. I used white and chocolate fondant. I had to add a lot of black food dye to chocolate to go black though.

The fondant recipe that I used requires marshmallows, water, sifted confectioners (powdered) sugar and shortening. That's what it takes to make the white fondant. For the chocolate I used Chocolate marshmallows and cocoa in addition to the previous ingredients.

Another This is What Happens...

When you give Adam Mac & Cheese. He has to have ketchup, it has to do with the dipping.

Yes, that means he's eating. For the most part, we still have our struggles now and then, but it's better than it used to be.

This is What happens....

When Mommy's in class.

Travis watched Adam pull up the chair, and do this onto the couch several times, but caught the very last time on video. Adam is laughing while he does this, but the TV is kind of loud, sorry. He grunts three times before he goes over, it's his way of counting, "1 2 3!"
